Helen
Simmins-McMillin - Composer
Little
Rock, Arkansas native Helen Simmins-McMillin's ability to write
in a variety of genres has led to her music appearing in such diverse
programming as the TV shows, The Rob Nelson Show-FOX,
Living Large hosted by Kadeem Harrison, and Saving the Endangered
Species.
She has scored 11 short films including the award winning shorts
Father Xmas by Marie Rose for the American Film Institute (starring
Dakota Fanning of (I Am Sam and Sweet Home Alabama/;
Passion Fruit, by director Jack Sekowski; and Eduard Erslovas
Article XXIV. Lisa Stoll's If is Helen's second
feature film. She was the recipient of UCLA's Jerry Goldsmith BMI
Scholarship and was chosen for the Society of Composers and
Lyricists Mentor Program. She is now composing full-time while living
near Los Angeles with her husband and their two very bad dogs.
